Stock and scanning products
Stock keeps track of how many of each product you have: what you sell and what you use yourself during treatments (gel, colour, gloves). The goal: not finding out in the middle of a treatment that something is out. Scanning is there so you don't have to type in every product: take a photo of the package, NOZAIA reads the barcode and the label, and you check it before anything is saved. A scanned product goes in as something for your own use; to sell it, switch that on under Products. Products is about price and selling, Stock about the number.
Where to find it
How it works
- Sidebar → Inventory → Inventory, or Settings → Sales → Stock.
- Sales are deducted automatically at checkout; what comes in or breaks you book here with Update count.
- At the top is what needs attention (almost out, or someone tapped that it's out); Fine shows everything.
- Add product: take a photo of the packaging.
- If the barcode is already known, the product is filled in straight away at no cost; otherwise the AI reads the label for a few credits (if it fails, you get them back).
- Check what was recognised (orange border = worked out, check it; empty = not found on the package), fill in how many you have now and optionally how long it lasts, and save.
- The photo becomes the product photo.
- Scanning isn't in every plan.
- There's an explanation at the top of the screen under How does Stock work?.
- When walking past, tap Still enough, Almost out or Out per product, and sometimes NOZAIA asks after checkout what was used; from that NOZAIA learns how long a product usually lasts.
- You change the number only here, not in the product form.
- At zero a product can't be ordered online.
- People who may only report see the list without purchase prices.
Good to know
- Team members need the permission “Stock”. The owner sets this under Settings → Team → Roles and permissions.
Related guides
- Creating or changing a treatmentA treatment has a name, a category, a price, a duration and a buffer. The duration is the time with the client; the buffer is the time after it to tidy up or prepare, which the calendar keeps free but the client doesn't see. Also: a photo (optional; it then shows with the treatment on your mini website and in the booking screen, and without a photo nothing shows), who does it, extras and finishes, a calendar colour, a deposit, a from-price and whether it can be booked online.
- Who does this treatmentPer treatment you choose which team members do it. Only they can be booked online for it, and in the booking screen they come first.
- Extras and finishes (options)What a client can choose with a treatment: a finish (French or Baby Boomer) or something extra (nail art). An option group is a question with choices. Pick one or pick several, and optionally required. Each choice has its own price, its own extra time and who does it. The client picks them when booking online, and at the desk you pick them in the booking panel. What's already booked keeps the price of that moment.
- Surcharges and discounts (price rules)Rules that adjust the price automatically: a surcharge in the evening or at weekends, or a discount on a quiet part of the day. A fixed amount or a percentage, on chosen days and times, optionally only with certain team members, treatments or only online. The client sees the surcharge when choosing a time. Per rule you choose whether it counts towards commission and whether it is included in a refund.

Still stuck?
In NOZAIA, open Support at the bottom of the sidebar (on your phone: in the menu under your name). It knows which screen you're on, and if it can't help, your question goes to our team.
